Effect of Salinity Stress on Physiological Changes in Winter and Spring Wheat

چکیده

Salinity is a leading threat to crop growth throughout the world. Salt stress induces altered physiological processes and several inhibitory effects on of cereals, including wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). In this study, we determined salinity five spring winter genotypes seedlings. We evaluated salt root shoot attributes, i.e., length (RL), (SL), relative rate (RGR-RL), (RGR-SL). The ionic content leaves was also measured. Physiological traits were assessed, stomatal conductance (gs), chlorophyll index (CCI), light-adapted leaf fluorescence, quantum yield photosystem II (Fv?/Fm?) instantaneous fluorescence (Ft). performance under (0, 100, 200 mol/L) explored at seedling stage. analysis showed that accumulated low Na+ high K+ in blades compared with wheat. Among genotypes, Sakha 8, S-24, W4909, W4910 performed better had improved attributes (gs, Fv?/Fm?, Ft) (RL, SL, RGR-SL, RGR-RL), which strongly linked proper discrimination CCI leaves. identified could represent valuable resources for genetic improvement programs provide greater understanding plant tolerance stress.
